The Chinese are angry because of the destruction of the North Korean nuclear program and the elimination of the newly minted military bases in the South China Sea. In response, an assassination attempt is directed at Chance King after the involvement of his organization in those events is discovered. When space-based super weapons begin to surgically eliminate United States military assets, Mark Groves is tasked to counter the threat. Using a state-of-the-art spaceplane, he takes on the satellite-based directed energy weapons and then helps prevent the mastermind behind the weapons from reaching a safe harbor in China. In response, a diabolical plot is implemented, and the Chinese send their top pilot into the fray to support their evil objectives. The final battle between Colonel Groves flying an F/A-18 Hornet against two of the frontline Chinese fighters is epic and the consequences to the Chinese supercarrier, Shandong, is surprising. “Immoral High Ground” features military action, political intrigue, spycraft and a bit of romance. Marc’s first novel, “Six,” was released in 2011 and was published by the South Dakota State Historical Society Press, it featured the historical detail that is a critical element of his published works. “Outsourced Consequences” was the first of his techno-thriller genre featuring the partnership of Mark Groves, Jim Rossi and Chance King. These amazing characters keep the plotline in constant motion leaving the reader breathless in anticipation of what will happen next.
Marc makes frequent guest appearances on both radio and television in support of his books, including a recent interview on CBS affiliate KELO television featuring his first book, “Six” that aired the week of Thanksgiving in 2023. He has written feature articles for the South Dakota Magazine in support of the book, “Six.” “Outsourced Consequences” was a finalist for the American Fiction Awards national contest in 2023. “Immoral High Ground” is a much-anticipated sequel that immerses the reader into the headlines of today.
